On the wall near the front door, cabinetry from a semi-

custom kitchen line provides storage, display shelves,

and even window seats in a space that’s just 15 inches

deep. Now, instead of unusable entry space, there’s a

spot to hang jackets, stow bags, and showcase books

and accessories. To further the foyer effect, a console

table greets guests at the door while a mirrored folding

screen shields their immediate view of the living room.
